RULES AND REGULATIONS

FLEA LAND of Bowling Green has established the following rules and regulations for the benefit and safety of dealers, customers and management. FLEA LAND wishes to maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment. Please help us in doing so. Rules and regulations are subject to change.

1. HOURS OF OPERATION:

Dealer Set Up:Friday 9:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.

Market Hours:Saturday & Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

We advertise that the market will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Therefore, the management requests that dealers be set up by 9:00 a.m. and remain open until closing time. Any dealers not open for business by 9:00 a.m. each morning will be charged a $5.00 late fee per booth. Any dealer not remaining open until closing time will be charged a $5.00 early fee per booth.

2. RENTAL RATES:

10’ x 15’ - $50.00per weekend ( Buildings C,D,E)
10’ X 20’ - $59.00 per weekend ( Building B)

As required by the city of Bowling Green, there is an additional charge of $1.00 per day, per dealer for City Occupational License added to the booth rent.

Rental payments are non-refundable. If payment is made by check and that check is returned all following rental payments must be made in cash. $20.00 returned check will be charged.

3. RESERVATIONS:

All spaces must be reserved at the office before setting up. Rent for spaces must be paid by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday and one week in advance. Those paying late will be charged an additional $5.00 per booth. No collections will be made at the booths. Any reserved space that is not occupied by 9:00 a.m. will be considered vacant and available for rent.

All spaces not paid for by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday will be considered available for new vendors to rent for the following weekend.

4. MERCHANDISE:

FLEA LAND of Bowling Green prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages, fireworks, pornographic materials, counterfeit merchandise or any other items specified by management. Office approval is necessary to sell any food or confection items. Any dealers who display objectionable merchandise or who conduct themselves in a manner, which disrupts the market or other dealers, will be removed from the premises. FLEA LAND reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

5. ELECTRICITY:

Outlets are available at each booth to provide display lighting, operating demonstrations and other small electrical demands. No refrigerators, halogen lights, coffee makers, or electric heaters will be permitted.

6. WALLS:

Each space is identified by letter and number and dealers must display their merchandise within their own area. Walls may not be erected closer than 30 inches from the aisle line. Height of the walls must not exceed 6’6". Any materials ( peg board, walls, dry wall, etc.) attached to FLEA LAND of Bowling Green property becomes a part of the building and cannot be removed without prior permission from FLEA LAND management.

7. SECURITY:

The market will be locked at all times when closed*. However, FLEA LAND of Bowling

Green does not carry insurance covering the loss of dealers’ merchandise and will not be responsible for the loss of merchandise by reason of theft, disappearance, fire windstorm or other risks. We suggest that you consider obtaining appropriate insurance to protect your merchandise.

One of the front doors will be unlocked for admittance. There will be a ‘sign in’ sheet for all those entering to sign in. While working in your booth, do not let anyone enter through your door or another door. If you see Someone wandering around and they do not have a booth in your section of the building please come To the office and let us know. Do not enter another dealer’s booth under any circumstances without his/her permission.

8. SUBLETTING:

No dealer may sublet part of his space to another dealer nor transfer his space to another dealer when he leaves the market.

9. DOORS:

During the heating/ cooling season ALL doors must be closed by 9:15 a.m. This will help to maintain a better climate in the building. At the end of the day, you are responsible for making sure that your door is shut and latched.

10. TRASH:

Each dealer should sweep his space to the aisle line at the end of the day and must dispose of his own trash . A trash compactor is provided. A $5.00 fee per space will be charged to any dealer who does not dispose of his trash or keep his/her booth swept and clean. A $10.00 fee will also be charged to any vendor leaving trash, boxes, displays, etc. outside their door(s); plus all of said property will be disposed of. ALL BOXES must be broken down BEFORE they are placed in the compactor.

11. INDEMNIFICATION:

Each dealer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless FLEA LAND of Bowling Green from any kind of loss, cost or expense of any sort or nature. Each dealer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless FLEA LAND of Bowling Green from any liability to any person on account of any damage to personal or property resulting or occurring by reason of use and occupancy of space(s) by a dealer. Including any liability arising from the sales of goods or services, or for any failure of a dealer to comply in any respect with or to perform any of the requirements and provisions of these operating rules and regulations.

  • 1 vendor must use all (2) tables
Concrete table near entrance -- $16.00/day

    Reservations
    • You may reserve a space for the following weekend by paying one weekend rent each week in advance.
    • You must be in the reserved space by 8:00 am, or we have the right to rent the space to a new paying vendor.
    Guidelines
    • Please dispose of your own trash. Do not leave garbage, food items, leftover merchandise or other refuse in your booth or another vendors booth. We pride ourselves on keeping a clean market that keeps shoppers coming back. Vendors who leave garbage will lose the ability to set up at Flea Land.
    • Please do not place merchandise in the aisle.
    • No food or beverage sales permitted.
    • Do not attach anything to the covered shelter.
